Fire could cause water problems

Fire Chief Stephen Portis is alerting residents in the area surrounding the vacant Fletcher School, located near Pardee and Superior, that water pressure and appearance may vary throughout today due to a fire at the building this afternoon.

A fire of unknown origin was discovered by the Taylor Fire Department today at Fletcher School. Since the TFD has been fighting the fire this afternoon, water pressure and appearance may vary throughout the evening hours in surrounding residences and businesses. If you experience low pressure, it is because of the incident and the pressure will return to normal shortly. If you experience discoloration of the water, just continue to run the water for a few moments, and it should subside as the lines clear.
There are no health risks as a result of this incident.
