  1. Music & Arts in the Gardens continues with LL7

    July 24, 2019, 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM @ Conservatory & Botanical Gardens

    The Taylor Conservatory & Botanical Gardens will continue its popular summer music series, “Music & Arts in the Gardens,” with LL7, a spicy Latin Jazz and Salsa band. Early seating opens at 5:30 p.m., with the shows beginning at 6:30. Tickets are $5 general admission on the lawn. A limited number of chairs are provided, so visitors are wise to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets. Parking is free at the Heritage Park Petting Farm and the adjoining grass lot off Northline Road. The conservatory main lot is reserved for handicapped parking, motorcycles and band and artist vehicles participating in the show.

    The Taylor Farmer's Market returns for the 2019 season. It will run from noon-6 p.m. each Friday from June 7 through August (but will be closed June 28 for the Taylor Summer Festival).   4. Telegraph Cruise hits the streets this weekend

    July 27, 2019, 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM @ Along Telegraph Road from Redford (north) to Taylor (south)

    Classic car enthusiasts and spectators from throughout Southeast Michigan converge on Telegraph Road for the annual cruise July 27. Many cars and crowds will also gather the evening before for an unofficial kickoff. Official event hours are from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Taylor Police ask cruise-goers to note the following: No mini-bikes, golf carts or recreational four-wheelers are allowed Taylor Auxiliary Police officers will be onsite Police have a “zero tolerance” policy with items thrown into roadway No “burn outs” by vehicles are allowed and will be ticketed Police close key side streets to eliminate any problems Telegraph Road will be closed to north- and southbound traffic at approximately 10 p.m. as the cruise finishes Spanning the communities of Taylor, Dearborn Heights, Dearborn and Redford Township, the event draws thousands of fans.

    The Taylor Conservatory & Botanical Gardens continues its popular summer music series, “Music & Arts in the Gardens." Crossbow, appearing on July 31, marks a first for the series. They are a lively Celtic Band that will offer the best of Irish and Scottish folk music. Early seating opens at 5:30 p.m., with the shows beginning at 6:30. Tickets are $5 general admission on the lawn. A limited number of chairs are provided, so visitors are wise to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets.
