  1. Downriver Community Band Concert

    June 18, 2019, 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM @ Sheridan Center Open Air Pavilion

    The Downriver Community Band has been entertaining local audiences for 30 years. As part of the band's 30th Anniversary Season, this local treasure returns to Taylor for a special concert on Tuesday, June 18, at Heritage Park. The concert begins at 7 p.m. Under the direction of Mr. Patrick Jensen, the DCB is comprised of 70 adult musicians who play woodwind, brass and percussion instruments. Our mission is to provide a dynamic and enriching opportunity to perform, contribute positively to the cultural environment of the Downriver area and provide an opportunity for personal musical expression and growth. The Downriver Community Band will perform favorite show tunes, marches, big band tunes and other classics at this FREE event. So bring a lawn chair and your favorite snacks and beverages and join us for an entertaining evening in Taylor!

  2. Strength Training for seniors

    Joe from JDFitness is the instructor. This class focuses on strengthening the muscles and tendons of the entire body to improve seniors' overall ability to perform and enjoy every day activities. Participants will learn, practice and perform a wide variety of exercise techniques utilizing free weights, resistance bands, isometrics and calisthenics. Working out with resistance of any kind will lead to stronger bones, better flexibility and increased strength that add yet another layer of well being into your life.
